Thank you for visiting our site. Here is where you can find out more information about your scan or procedure.
Here’s what happens
Your doctor or consultant will send us a referral requesting a scan or procedure for you.
We will send the referral to the most appropriate site for you, taking into account various factors including the type of scan required, and the speed with which the site will be able to arrange your appointment.
Our radiologists will “protocol” the referral request, so that the radiographers at the site will know exactly how to set up the scanner to take the correct images.
The site will then telephone you to arrange a suitable appointment.
We can only accept referrals from recognised Health Professionals, but we will be happy to try and answer any general queries you may have and we welcome your feedback at all times.
Radiology examinations are carried out using sophisticated imaging equipment, and we understand that you may be apprehensive about your procedure.
We will ensure everything is explained to you and that you are kept fully in the picture during your time with us. The information in our brochures will give you an idea of what to expect and help you prepare for your particular type of investigation.
Women should tell the staff before their examination if there is any chance they could be pregnant, or if they are breast-feeding.
