Paediatric Radiology - Children and Adolescents
Information for patients
Paediatric radiology is a recognised subspeciality discipline within radiology which deals with all methods of imaging of children and young people. The definition of "paediatric" is variable, conventionally including patients up to 16 years, although the NSF (National Service Framework) for Children identifies that young people between 16 and 19 should be offered choice as to whether they are treated and investigated by paediatric or adult services and specialists. Sussex Imaging Partnership includes specialist consultants in paediatric imaging and welcomes referrals of children and young people.
